2020 Blue Heron Hustle 5k and Community Event
Join the The Chain of Lakes Rotary Club celebration of health, fitness, and family fun on Saturday, August 15th, 2020 at the YMCA in Lino Lakes.
You will have the option to sign up for a certified/timed 5k race and/or a 2 mile fun run/walk for the family. Both events take place on roads and paved trails behind the YMCA. Register quickly as the first 300 pre-registrations are guaranteed a commemorative Blue Heron Hustle 5k performance t-shirt. No t-shirt size exchanges so please accurately choose your size when registering online.
We will have raffle prizes, food vendors, beer and wine, and entertainment that includes a DJ, live music, and plenty of entertainment to keep the kids entertained! Also will have booths set up from local businesses!
Concerned about COVID-19?
TICKET BOOTH to purchase food/drink and Raffle tickets. Tickets will be used to purchase food, beer, and to enter to win raffle prizes. ID’s will be checked & wristbands given to those 21 and older.
What does this event support?
1. Chain of Lakes Rotary’ STRIVE Scholarships (Students Taking Renewed Interest in the Value of Education). We mentor Centennial HS seniors to improve their academic achievements and realize their true potential for obtaining post-secondary education.
2. Alexandra House. There has been a dramatic increase in domestic and sexual violence since the COVID-19 stay at home orders. Alexandra House provides domestic, sexual, and relationship violence services to women, men, youth and families, all free-of-charge.
3. MN Law Enforcement Exploring Program provides career information to students between the ages of 14 and 20. It also provides the structure and resources needed for these young adults to make ethical choices and to achieve their full potential as individuals.
