STRIVE
STRIVE stands for Students Taking Renewed Interest in the Value of Education. The Chain of Lakes Rotary Club works in partnership with the Centennial ISD12 High School to provide the STRIVE program for qualifying seniors. Members of the club and well as qualified community members are STRIVE mentors and provide the students with inspiration and provide them support, tools and incentives to improve their academic achievement and realize their true potential for obtaining post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded to five of the outstanding students once they have completed the program.

Youth Exchange
The Chain of Lakes Rotary Club works in partnership with the Northstar Youth Exchange to both send American students to another country and to host students in America coming from another country.
- Become a short term or year long exchange student
- Be a host family for an exchange student
In August of 2018, the Chain of Lakes Rotary Club will host our first international exchange student whom will attend Centennial High School. Rotary International is the world's largest International Exchange Student Program. More than 30 countries accept Rotary Exchange Students.
The two exchange options include short term and long term:
1. The Summer Short Term Exchange Program enables a high school student from the United States to stay with a host family in another country for a month in the summer. The sibling from the foreign host family will then spend a month in the home of the host family in the USA.
2. The Long Term Exchange Program enables high school students to spend 11 months with three to four host families. The student will attend school in the country they are hosted in. Visit NorthstarYouthExchange.com to see the list of participating countries.
If you are interested in being a host family and you live within the Centennial ISD12 School District, please contact us to set up an interview.
Interested students and host families should contact Kevin Fitzpatrick at 612-998-1320 or kevin@fitzts.com

Centennial Community Service Day
The Centennial School District ISD12 and the Chain of Lakes Rotary Club partner for a Service Day where students volunteer to give back to their community by helping to improve situations or by helping people.
Centennial Seniors and Student Council volunteers are bused to
several sites to perform service in our district’s communities.
We need Community Partners to help provide students with this valuable opportunity!
A few examples of service opportunities include providing Spring
clean-up, visiting Senior Centers, and crafting or assembling goods.
Charitable donations go toward the purchase of T-shirts, transportation, food, and supplies.
If you are interested in being a Service Site or if you are able to support this initiative with a donation please email us at: info@chainoflakesrotary.com
